Also known as voice comparison, speaker identification or voice analysis, this involves comparing the voice of an unknown speaker on a questioned recording with a known recording of the suspect in order to establish speaker identity.
Transcription
We can carry out forensic-standard transcription of poor-quality or unclear recordings, including covert recordings, mobile phone recordings and telephone calls in order to establish a reliable record of what was said.
Disputed utterance analysis
Detailed analysis of individual utterances where there is a dispute regarding the words that were spoken.
Enhancement
The intelligibility of poor-quality recordings may be improved by use of specialised signal processing and filtering techniques. This work is carried out in association with specialists in audio engineering who have additional expertise in the enhancement of speech recordings.
